The need and necessity of providing an affordable quality based English medium education for the marginalised rural children in and around Kankipadu and vuyyuru mandals is felt by the management of the St.Mary's English Medium school. We firmly believe and affirm that Education is the only tool for the social transformation and to empower the marginalised and economically weaker sections of the society In Pursuance to the above mentioned needs, St.Mary's English Medium school was founded on 27th June 1987 with seven children and recognised by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. Having started with a humble beginning, the present strength of our school is 1200 students studying from Nursery to Grade 10. With the spread of its development and its quality education, it paved way for many more students in and around Kankipadu. It bloomed, flourished and became the Alma Mater for many students who are today in great positions in and out of India.

St.Mary's School is accredited to the S.S.C board, Government of Andhra Pradesh and is well known for its quality education, discipline, interpersonal skills, soft skills, personality development, sports etc. The school band is very popular not only in the district but also in the entire state. The school bags several medals every year not only academically but also in sports and games. St.Mary's School is non profit oriented and gives 50% concession in the academic fees for the students belonging to the marginalised and the economically weaker sections of the community. Despite of insufficient financial resources, the school management making all its efforts in upgrading with the latest technologies for the academic benefit of the students.
