Experiential Learning

Experiential learning involves innovative and hands-on approaches to teaching and learning. On the basis of the following it is implemented in SMHS.

Project-Based Learning (PBL):

Students engage in extended, real-world projects that require them to investigate and solve complex problems. This approach allows students to apply academic concepts to practical situations, fostering critical thinking and collaboration.

Hands-On Science Experiments:

Science education often benefits from experimental learning. Instead of just reading about scientific principles, students actively participate in experiments, fostering a deeper understanding of concepts through direct experience.

Outdoor Education:

Taking learning outside the classroom, such as through field trips or nature-based activities, provides students with a different environment for learning. This approach can enhance their understanding of various subjects while promoting physical activity and a connection with the natural world.

Collaborative Learning Spaces:

Redesigning classrooms to facilitate collaboration and teamwork can enhance the learning experience. Flexible seating arrangements and group projects encourage students to work together and learn from one another.

Technology Integration:

Leveraging educational technology, such as virtual reality or interactive simulations, provides students with immersive learning experiences. This allows them to explore subjects in ways that go beyond traditional methods.

Implementing Experiential learning in our school is a shift in traditional teaching methods, emphasizing creativity, curiosity, and critical thinking. It aims to prepare students not only with knowledge but also with the skills needed to adapt to an ever-changing world.

Teaching Pedagogy

Effective pedagogy takes into account the diverse needs and learning styles of students. It may involve incorporating interactive activities, technology, collaborative projects, and real-world applications to engage students and enhance their understanding of the subject matter. Teaching pedagogy in MTS reflects a dynamic and student-centric approach that embraces technology, encourages active learning, and prepares students for the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century.
